Hi everyone!  We hope you had a great holiday weekend.  We know couples are in full swing planning for their 2011 nuptials.  You’re in luck because Boston Weddings Spring/Summer 2011 issue just hit the stands and there are some incredible ideas throughout the pages.

In fact, there is a real wedding done by some of Nantucket’s finest vendors!  They took the show on the road – led by Unique Nantucket Events, along with Brea McDonald Photography and Soiree Floral & Event Design.  Paul and Kerry were married on the Cape and the magazine covers all the fun details.  The couple’s beloved dog was even included in all the fun.  For all the details, be sure to pick up your copy of the magazine today!

A Nantucket “Get Away”!

Nantucket weddings, in general, have their last dance shortly after 10pm. It’s the rules! So put some thought into not only your last dance but your get away. Many of your guests will be there till the end so work in a little something festive and fun for you and your guests to send you on your way. Sparklers are always popular and make for a wonderful photo-op.

How do you want to end the night with your guests?

Vintage Nantucket

Being that Nantucket is an old school whaling town there is a ton of history in the island air. From the Nantucket baskets, wooden sailboats and all the vintage pieces you can really feel as if you are stepping back in time. We thought we would honor this history with a simple inspiration board that ties it all together. You can have that vintage island feeling at your wedding by adding in a splash here and there.

Holiday Entertaining

Thanksgiving is right around the corner, and for many couples recently married, this will be their first holiday as a married couple.  Bring back some of that island flair with these adorable mini baskets by ACK GIFT BAGS.  If you are spending the holiday on island, be sure to call Kylie at 508-228-5316 to reserve yours today.  A great hostess gift or even to put at each place setting at your dinner table.  Choose from Chocolate Nantucket Cranberries or Sweet & Spicy Mixed Nuts.

Inspirations for a Spring Wedding

We saw this inspiration board and went ga-ga for the cheery yellow color scheme.  Reminiscent of daffodils peeking out of the ground in early spring this is great inspiration for a wedding over daffodil weekend.
